Nearly 100,000 Supporters Respond to Kantha Bopha Foundation's Fundraising Call in Just Four Days

PHNOM PENH, June 4, 2024 – Dr. Pich Chanmony, Honorary President of the Kantha Bopha Foundation of Cambodia, recently initiated the "10,000 Riel 10,000" campaign to support children in Cambodia. As of early morning on June 4, the campaign has remarkably attracted donations from 99,965 contributors, amassing a total of $1,164,047.

The contributions have been sourced from a diverse group including community leaders, business executives, and major corporations, all united in their support for Cambodian youth.

This annual fundraising drive, aligned with International Children's Day on June 1, promotes the ethos of "Khmer help Khmer." It aims to gather support from donors both within Cambodia and internationally, to bring aid and joy to children on this globally recognized day of awareness.

The "10,000 Riel 10,000" initiative is set to run throughout June, ending on the 30th. Those wishing to contribute can do so by scanning the provided QR code or by transferring funds to the specified ACLEDA Bank accounts: 0001-0341273813 for donations in KHR and 0001-0341273824 for USD contributions.
